Safe carpets for allergies? Or rugs?

We got rid of all carpets, we have none in the house. Dust mites/mould allergy problems. But I miss the cosines of carpets. I don’t feel as relaxed, even though I know how grim carpets are for harbouring bugs etc. Any suggestions, should we risk carpets again, or any rugs etc?

The constant hoovering is a pain, but I remind myself it’s the same dirt that a carpet would hold onto and not good. Health has been better since carpet free, meh.

I'm not knowledgeable but am interested as I would like to replace my carpets but don't want all the chemicals so I am just doing nothing...

So why would you think of putting them back? That makes no sense!

If you do, you need to look at something small enough to be able to wash and thoroughly clean regularly. Which probably isn’t worth it.
