Best Ring doorbell

Looking to get a Ring doorbell with camera, not sure what I'm looking for. Any recommendations?

Hi, by Ring doorbell do you actually mean which Ring or which video doorbell? It just seems that sometimes it's like calling your vacuum a hoover.

I have a 2nd gen Ring. It can be battery only but I've connected it to 12v via my Intruder alarm as there were cables by the door. We've just bought our daughter/SIL a 3.

I also pay £2.50 a month to have access to my recorded videos. I can also connect to the camera anytime I want, just to check.

I find it great when I'm out (ok, not so much now), even down to answering the doorbell when in Lanzarote last New Year It's easy too set up detection zones to prevent unnecessary rings.

I think it's brilliant. There are other makes available.

Depends what you want, your budget etc.

@billyt thanks for the info! Knew I was clueless about it all! There's so much choice online and it's hard to see wade through it all when you aren't technically minded (that's me!). Was looking for video access and something that can be recorded.

Watching this thread with interest. We are looking at buying a ring 3 doorbell. Fed up of delivery people tapping our front porch door and not being able to hear it. Hopefully the sensor would alert us before they either dump the parcel where it could easily be stolen or drop it around to a neighbour.
