Everything but the bagel seasoning

So, I did some impulse shopping and bought some "everything but the bagel" seasoning because they showed it sprinkled on top of sweet peppers with cream cheese and it seemed like something I had to have in my life.

But, other than peppers and cream cheese, I'm stumped about what to put it on. I'm not really a seasoning whizz, I'm more of a sauce person.

So, please inspire me with your culinary expertise. What would you put EBTB seasoning on?

this is the seasoning, should anyone want to know

I put it on home made pizzas (I also bought it on a whim and don't know what to do with it now Grin)

I love it on scrambled eggs! It’s also really nice on salad.

I add it to bread dough, it livens up bread. And I sprinkle it on pasta salad.

  • Smashed avocado on toast
  • Dip for a boiled egg
  • On popcorn with butter
  • Sushi rice bowl
  • Take a block of silken tofu, cut in slices, cut avocado in slices and arrange on top, pour over a dressing of sesame oil and soy sauce thinned with a bit of water, then the EBTB mix all over the top - if you have fresh coriander or chopped salad onions this is nice on top as well

Lots of lovely ideas, thanks all. I think I am going to need to expand my palate a a little!

Sprinkled on chorizo and avocado toast. Mixed with breadcrumbs for a crispy coating on baked chicken. Homemade croutons for soup and salads.... sometimes I just eat it as a quick salty snack 🤣

You can also make your own rather than pay the rather expensive price. I found a recipe on the Internet ages ago and had all the different bits already in the cupboard.

I put it on everything:

Just today:

  • Scrambled eggs break
  • Salad
  • Any dinner any time all the time - I love it and have my cousins send it over from America.

Where did you find it?

redheadwitch · 04/02/2021 16:32

@Ilovelove I provided the link in the original post. I haven't tried it yet but the reviews look good. It was delivered promptly which is always a good thing. I found it to be cheaper to buy from them directly than Amazon.

@redheadwitch - thanks

Google '2 ingredient bagels' - basically just flour and Greek yoghurt, oven baked for 20 mins with an egg wash and your seasoning on top.
Dead easy and delicious.

I’m tempted to get some now! What’s actually in it? I love salty seasonings...

ThomasHardyPerennial · 04/02/2021 19:11

I like it on toast, anything with cream cheese, cheese on toast, homemade popcorn, salads (especially nice on cucumber and tomatoes), sprinkled in tomato soup...I love seasonings.

'Gorgeous on eggs, cream cheese, bagels (obvs), sushi, salads and more.'
