The first time DH held DD2.

She was 2 weeks old. He was in Afghanistan when she was born, so his homecoming was special.

Watching my DB and SIL get married was really a happy time for me. I got to see a side of my brother that isn't usually reserved for his little sister. I was a bridesmaid for the first time and had waited into adulthood for the privilege.

The venue was beautiful, it's was so joyous and I felt very proud.

DD had the main role in a musical performed in her first year at uni. I sat in the audience with her three older brothers. When she launched into her opening song, I glanced at them, and saw three proud beaming faces! Such a lovely memory.

At an open air concert in the pouring rain with my arms wrapped around DC and DH listening to my favourite band sing my favourite song which became a family anthem when DS2 was tiny and pulled through an illness that nearly killed him. I first heard the song when he was ill, and then to hear it live ten years later, with him standing beside me, alongside his gorgeous brother who first brought our attention to the song - it was the happiest day of my life.

@Clawdy. I loved reading your memory. It made me think of a photo of my daughter at her graduation sandwiched between her two older brothers. The smiles and the love I see always brings me joy. Thank you for sharing 😊
