I’m seeing this all over social media. I had never heard of it before today and now it’s everywhere.

Have I missed something?!

Is it an ASMR type thing where someone eats a lot of food accentuating the sounds?

A mukbang is someone talking to the viewer and eating.

I watch a guy on YouTube who eats a tremendous amount of food.

It's proper peak-capitalism/consumerism stuff.
