I think I'll have eggs...

So i bought a box 6 of golden yolk eggs last week. I had 2. Delicious. Said to DH, you should have those eggs for tea, theyre lovely. I work nights so he fends for himself on those nights. Fast forward to today when Ive eaten the last 2 after my nightshift. Tonight he says 'I think Ill have eggs'
He knows damn well Ive had the lot. Hes seen the box in the bin. They were nearly out of date. He does this all the time. Ive got a bowl of Xmas chocolates (Lindt) left over... I know that once the last one is gone he will say 'ooh I think ill have a chocolate...
He says hes playing with me... and I should lighten up....

Should be a supermarket still open - he can go and buy another box.

I love boiled eggs.

This would really annoy me tbh. It’s like he’s pointing out when you’ve finished something. I would probably take it as him subtly insinuating I’m greedy.

And what exactly is the point of this great "joke"? To make you feel selfish? To make you feel fat? Ask him to explain what's so hilarious.

That would piss me off. What a pointless ‘joke’.

DH and I have a rule where if we finish something, we tell the other. It saves disappointment and it doubles the chance that one of us will remember to pick up more
