Can anyone recommend a good online store to buy a refurbed iPhone?

We want to get my DM something newer than her google phone, and as she likes her iPad was thinking an IPhone 7 or newer, but she doesn’t want a brand new one as will hardly use it. Usually we pass phones down through the family but none spare anywhere at the moment.

My DD recently had a bad experience with GiffGaff and another store, so wondered if anyone had any positive experiences of any recently?

Was thinking Music Magpie, The Big Phone Store or similar.

Thanks

I've used Mazumo.com twice with no issues.

I've used magpie before for Apple watches.
But have you looked at the Apple website as they sell refurbed products.
I actually ordered a refurbed Apple Pencil recently via Apple and the one that turned up was actually brand new!

Not an iPhone but I bought my 2017 MacBook Pro from Music Magpie in 2019. I went for ‘very good’ condition but when it arrived it was absolutely immaculate - not a mark on it. It even had an Apple charger in the box when the listing said it didn’t.

I saved about £1000 over buying new so I would totally recommend.

Musicmagpie have £100 off at the moment for Valentine’s Day too. Good site.

Watching with interest as I have an almost new 8 to sell and have yet to work out how to dispose of it!

I had a good experience with cex last year when I bought my 2nd hand Samsung phone.

Think we are going with Music Magpie. Mazuma only really sell as a contract package and Apple direct only have the newer models.
Envirophone and 4 gadgets had some but Music Magpie seem to have the best match for us, with a Smartie sim.

Thanks again

Ioutlet are brilliant-very good returns policy as well.

We have bought 2 iPhones from music magpie recently with no issues at all. An 8 and an X , £250 and £350 .

Thanks to @Howshouldibehave, we googled iOutlet and found their Amazon store. They didn’t have the colour/model we wanted but found another supplier on Amazon (gadget store) as they all sign up to the same condition standards and have Amazon return policies and backed by Amazon renew guarantee (replace or refund within 1 year if not satisfied).

Got an immaculate iPhone 8 64gb Silver (renewed) for £209. Can’t believe how pristine it looks. Ordered Friday, said arrive on Monday but came today.

It’s in a generic box with a generic charger but will do my Mum perfectly.

Hi I was looking for a refurbished phone for my son who is going into senior school this year. Didn’t want to break the bank but wanted something decent. The big phone store were brilliant. Prices were great and customer service was fab in helping me choose and I was surprised that the condition of phone was better than I expected! Best of all my son was over the moon!

Balloondog · 09/04/2021 11:12

We've had a number of phones from envirophone over the years here and have been very happy with them. I'd highly recommend.

Mom2four · 09/04/2021 11:17

Oh I should say that both music magpie and the big phone store are highly trusted companies but the latter was cheaper. I was worried because of the amount of horror stories out there when buying used phones or lots of delays but apparently both these companies only sell phones they actually have in stock.
