Heated airer with a cat

I have a clothes horse that I got 10 years ago and it has finally broken.

I'm debating getting a heated airer (needs to be kept in my kitchen as it's my only available space) and wondered if they are any good. I have a cat also - what are your experiences with pets and heated airers? Are they worth the money?

It works fantastically though, worth getting.
