We are renovating our house.
We are at the very beginning but obviously given the situation, I've lots of time to browse online and ponder (and spend lots of hypothetical money).

We need flooring, new kitchen, a bathroom. New doors, light fittings, switches etc. So I'd like avoid any costly errors like our bathroom....

We redid our existing bathroom 2 years ago and bought the suite from Victoria Plumbing. Not impressed by the quality tbh but it could just be we made a bad choice. We already had to replace the toilet seat. Cabinet tops easily marked. Just not a great buy. And it wasn't all that cheap.

Heard lots of good on here about DIY kitchens for example.

Mixed reviews for Karndean, Amtico flooring..was thinking of these or heavy duty linoleum..anyone had flooring like this?

Tell me everything!

We recently used DIY Kitchens and always would from now on to be honest. The quality is fantastic and the price was half of what Wren quoted.

I've been very pleased with Karndean. It's a little chilly on the feet in winter, and will mark if you drop something really heavy on it... but it doesn't come unstuck, is easy to mop, won't warp if stays wet.

Our is 10 years old, and still in decent shape.

Can I ask @hangaround did you get the worktop from them as well?

Yes, we went for a quartz worktop. We had to book in an appointment for them to come and do a template and then 8 days later they came back and installed the tops. All very good and efficient Smile
