I have always had very twitchy muscles: my eye, hand/finger, leg and stomach muscles have always twitched a lot and very visibly. My stomach quite often looks like a vigerous baby kicking, where you can see it moving about so much. Around 10 years ago I was prescribed buscopan for the abdominal ones, but then couldn't afford to fill the next prescription and have just sort of left it alone since. It's annoying, but doesn't really do anything other than be irritating.
Just recently, it seems that all but the stomach muscle twitches have stopped (or mostly anyway), instead being replaced by the constant and incessant twitching of my pelvic floor! It's driving me mad. It's not constant, but certainly for more of the day than not. It's also much more uncomfortable than the other twitchings.
Is this just a 'thing' no one mentioned to me before? I can only presume it's doing wonders for my pelvic floor; sadly it's now so well excercised it has a background muscular ache at any point it's not actively moving. Is this just something to add to the list of 'irritations of life' I ignore, or is it something the GP would be able to do anything about? Alternatively, did you have this and it just buggered off again? It's lasted a couple of weeks so far...
