kirkliston to live

Hi All, I am living in Edinburgh just now and considering buying a house in Kirkliston to have more space in decent budget.. But I do not know much about Kirkliston, what do you all thing about living in this place? My main focus is good primary and secondary school education, kids learning and activities availability, and commute to Gogarburn really.. which catchment area should I focus? Any advice massively appreciated.

It’s always seemed nice village but has grown hugely and I gather traffic is very bad now as a consequence.

I've seen rave reviews about it from families. Are you on EGG (Edinburgh Gossip Girls) on facebook? Some on there love it.
It's very convenient for Gogarburn, you could probably walk or cycle as quick as drive there at rush hour though.
Have you been for a drive round? It just seems so bleak to me. I'd also be concerned about traffic and airport noise / pollution.
For high school they go to South Queensferry I think?
