Loads of photos or ornaments and pictures - no idea why?

I was recently on Rightmove and saw something similar. A really artsy pic of some flowers on a dining table and the actual background of the dining room blurred. No idea what they are thinking with these types of pictures and if they were my estate agent I’d be asking them to be taken off 🤦🏼‍♀️

LagneyandCasey · 01/02/2021 14:14

That's more like a listing for an airbnb. Very odd!

Thecazelets · 01/02/2021 14:16

These sorts of EA details really annoy me. I'm trying to get an idea of the size, aspect and condition of the rooms, not a close-up somebody's 'tasteful' knick-knacks!

PeterPandemic · 01/02/2021 14:16

Why is the dolphin in the cupboard?
Why are the dining chairs arranged around the coffee table?
Why does it look like a probate sale until you see the kids bedrooms and the kitchen?
Why the pasta?
Is the bath really big enough for surfing?

They are holiday lets- maybe they were the photos for that or maybe being sold fully furnished?

They are holiday lets- so maybe copied.
chipsandpeas · 01/02/2021 14:19

there was a thread earlier that the OP said it was a ex stationmaster house next ot the trai line
wonder if this is it

JimmyTheBrave · 01/02/2021 14:19

Wow that is utterly pointless

visitorfromtheplanetzog · 01/02/2021 14:19

I quite like it when an estate agent uses some photographic artistry actually. Smile

JimmyTheBrave · 01/02/2021 14:19

@Padamae

Maybe contact the EA and say you would like to buy the 3 white head ornaments and ask how much they are? Then sound confused when they say they are not for sale!!
Haha love this!
user1471528245 · 01/02/2021 14:22

That’s got to be one of the worst listings I have ever seen, unless the artworks included, I would be asking for them to be removed,. Of course the idea might be to attain there click/views from people like us wondering what it is they are trying to achieve,

EuroTrashed · 01/02/2021 14:26

That house smells of dust, you know it.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/02/2021 14:26

well yes, and I hate it when the rooms aren't labelled so you don't know what you are looking at as they aren't furnished to show what they are. It's effectively two flats and you might be right when you said they might be air bnb photos but the rooms aren't properly furnished? Maybe one is and is let out and the other has been used to store random pieces of furniture and objects.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/02/2021 14:28

it does look like it smells of dust :o

I'm not realistically looking, just saw a news story to say that the local train station might be re-opening and I'm dreaming of downsizing/"if working from home does it matter where I live?" scenario and went to see what property prices were like.

midsomermurderess · 01/02/2021 14:30

I've noticed an increasing Instagramification of house schedules. I want to see the property, the rooms, not a load of pointless and distracting knickknacks.

felineflutter · 01/02/2021 14:33

I love it and want to buy it!

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/02/2021 14:33

yep, i was looking at the photos and thought, "nice chess set" and then wait....what...?

I've just seen the other thread, what a coincidence if it is the same place?

OrangutanLibrarianGivesAnOok · 01/02/2021 14:34

The open cupboard with the pasta. Wow, how artsy 🙄

I've noticed that too. Hardly getting a view of the actual room, just a shot into a corner, or a piece of furniture. Very weird.
allmycats · 01/02/2021 15:00

Is it being sold as seen, otherwise why ??? It puts me off looking through all the pics. I want to know size and purpose of room, if not obvious.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/02/2021 15:02

It doesn't say in the description that you are buying the pictures on the walls and the chess set. Some of the furniture is nice but otherwise I'd be asking them to pay for their own skip to clear it out.

Frustrated photographer & spineless client

Could be nice if you had the money to make it into one house
