Had a positive Covid test on 27 Dec. Ill for 10ish days, but apart from some taste and smell loss, made a full recovery.

Friday woke up not feeling right, by early pm was back in bed- nausea, headache, overwhelming fatigue. Nothings changed. Have some soreness under rib cage - stomach I'm assuming. Feel horrible. Have only been to supermarket Hmm

Suspect GP won't be v interested. Carry on in bed?

I think general thinking is that you are likely to be immune for at least 5 months after covid infection, so unlikely to be a new covid infection. Could it be the original infection reoccurring?

Equally it could be something different. You presumably caught covid from the supermarket - just as likely to pick up something else there. Hope you feel better soon.

It's also common to have relapses with covid, you didn't have it that long ago, it's still in your body. Be kind to yourself.

Thanks both, am i am wondering if it is a relapse. Fatigue and headache feel very similar. Supposed to be having an MRI thursday, should i get tested again?!

That's tricky. Government advice is not to test again within 90 days of a positive test, as it's possible that old bits of the virus can be picked up and give a false positive (I think it's more technical than that....)

However, if you are still positive, you should be isolating not going to the hospital for tests.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Going to try and speak to a GP this pm... f$%k. Prickly chest too, had that before Sad

That sounds wise. Hope you are feeling better soon Flowers

Hi OP

I had +ve test 01/01.

So one month in and I am still up and down with fatigue, headache, slight breathlessness, nausea (which I had right at the start). I'll have a couple of great days and then, wham, feeling grim again. But no fever or cough. Several of my mates/colleagues/acquaintances report similar.

Hope you manage to make it to your scan and feel better soon

thanks wow ifancy sorry to hear you've had it so long. No fever or cough here either. So weird. Hope you recover soon.
