Any nurses thinking about taking early or flexi retirement ? Anyone done it ?

Don't expect many responses but worth a try Sad. Appreciate it's a bit niche.
I'm 54, 55 in April and could theoretically retire in a few months.
I can't afford not to work so I'm thinking of taking flexi retirement, maybe working a day or 2 a week.
I'm sick of the stress and the anxiety, worsened due to covid. I don't want challenges anymore, been there, done it but love patient contact, team work and just getting stuck in.
With flexi retirement I'd still have the same pressures just less often as I'd be working in the same environment so I'm thinking of maybe working as a hca instead.
Would you do it ? Anybody done it ? Anyone retired from the NHS and got another job ?

I don't know what band you are, but would going on bank be less stress?

Thanks, thought about that Smile
I'm a band 5 but qualified in 93. Was a 6 for 5 years but had to drop down after my dad died and I had a newborn. I just want an easy life tbh. 23 years of ICU plus 5 in general medicine has worn me down ! Not afraid of hard work but the responsiblity was starting to affect my mental and physical health.
Wish I'd moved years ago to specialist nursing or up the management ladder.
I think banking probably would be worse but thank's for the suggestion !
