In the absence of massages...

What can I do to help my poor back and shoulders. My shoulders are so tense. I think home working from a dining table has made it worse than usual.

I'd normally book a back massage. Does anyone have an at-home solution that helps them?

Thanks!

My osteopath is working

Massage therapists are allowed to practise for health reasons.
A massage cushion is a good alternative, and I use a TENS machine while working.

As PP said, you really need to address your setup. Even a cheap keyboard and raising up the laptop on a load of books or boxes will be much much better.

massage gun off amazon. Best 70 quid ever

TheSpottedZebra · 02/02/2021 14:32

... or look at a bespoke laptop stand like Roost

BejeweledCrocs · 02/02/2021 22:31

Thanks everyone I have ordered a chair which should come this week.

I have a laptop stand (sitting on jigsaw boxes) and a keyboard and mouse.

I'll have to save for a massage device. I do have a tens machine though so might put that on more often, had totally forgotten I had it.

Op hope you get sorted, this has been a frustrating thread, why recommend but not give the name!!

Mine have been really sore. I'm doing Adriene's ten minute neck/shoulder sessions, using a fuckton of Deep Heat, hot water bottles and stretching. I haven't had a massage for a year now. 😥

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/02/2021 22:11

Bumping in case anybody has any more ideas. Mine have been really bad - ha d to take painkillers.

marriednotdead · 04/02/2021 22:33

I’ve got this one which I’ve had for a few years. Got exh to buy it as a Christmas gift because he couldn’t be bothered to do it for me. DP uses it now more than I do and happily gives my back a rub when I need one.
My osteopath is still unbeatable though.

My massage therapist is still working, she is part of a physio practice. She gets COVID test each week, and was vaccinated a few weeks ago by virtue of the fact she is health care provider.
