On Twitter recently a Barrister has complained his freedom of speech has been denied due to this tweet:
This was his tweet in response to a girl called Ruby who at 15 yo was sent home from school repeatedly because her natural hair was deemed "too big" by the head and needed to be tamed. Ruby and her family fought back. She has just won £8,500 in damages out of court, she's now 18 yo.
The barrister is claiming cancel culture/denial of freedom of speech as he has been dumped by his Chambers.
I see this as straight up racism not cancel culture.
I see so many women dropped from platforms for speaking about woman so I cannot get on board with a white middle aged white man from a middle class background moaning at his racism being cancelled.
What is cancel court and who decides?
