Has anyone had their medical records lost?

I have recently found out my medical records only go back to 2015 and anything before that has been lost whilst I transferred GP's, My GP wasn't entirely helpful in what to do next, has anyone experienced this? I needed a letter to prove illness started in 2015 and have no idea what to do next.

Paper records rather than computer records? You could contact the old practice and ask them to check.

Your old surgery will still have the information on their computer system. Ask them for a printout of your medical records.
