So tomorrow, I am going for a coffee and a browse in the shops.

(to those talking about book shops -when we moved house I chose it by how many book cases we could fit in - the number of books cases could start anew thread!)
Is there any other criteria for choosing a house?

You lot sound my kind of people - books, coffee, cake, wine, babies, shopping, fun, kindness and CONNECTION !

Then the pub for a quick drink at the end of the shopping trip so we can have a drink while taking everything out of the bags, showing them to each other again, and talking about them!

I also wouldn't main going to a naice jewellers. Got some inheritance burning a hole in my pocket a d want to get something sentimental to remind me of the person who died. And such want to make a bit of a thing about it

I’m up for getting a haircut, going shopping, a lovely lunch, lots of cocktails and especially a musical. But first I’m going to some kind of retreat for about 3 days where no one is allowed to talk and there are absolutely no children!

Oh I so want to see my friends for a late brunch. Spend time wandering through Covent Garden before watching my dad dying because he can't breath and Covid killing him.

Yes, they will immediately bond (or just monologue AT each other, but happily so). Sounds great to me - frees us up for a yabber about anything (and I mean anything but Tanks) else :)

I’ll bring my DS too, he can join in the tank discussion with plomino
and 52’s DC. I hope it won’t get too heated, he does have quite strong views on T34s but he’s very well mannered.

I’m going to be very sensible and trawl my local High Street’s charity shops briskly in search of a new pair of jeans that fit (posh area, very good for top end jeans which people have bought overoptimistically). And when I find that there aren’t any in stock I’ll say “never mind it was worth a try”, accidentally buy three second hand books and a DVD of Mean Girls for two pounds fifty, and decide on a whim to jump on the Vicky Line up to the West End to try on every pair of jeans on Oxford Street and get the nice young men at ASICS to advise me on the perfect pair of trainers for next week’s Parkrun.

Would anyone mind a quick detour to have coffee and cake (or a scone maybe) in a cat cafe? One that has pedigree cats and we can ooo and ahh as they ignore us? My treat. We can brush the cat hairs off us then meet up with the rest of the gang.
