People who only contact you when something bad happens

I have a few people in my life who never contact you when things are good. However when life is going shut for them they always contact me.

Any insight into what this is.

It’s a lot of things,they’re not necessarily bad,but they only reach out when they’re affected
Potentially they are self contained when happy and when unhappy they’re emotionally leaky
Are you the steady one,do you take on the supportive one role,and others expect it of you
