It's my MIL birthday coming up. She's recently widowed and is really struggling during lockdown so really want to get her something lovely. She's 64, very very well to do, well presented, likes the finer things. I'm the complete opposite so I'm completely stumped. My husband is useless at presents can anyone please give me any ideas? I can give further info if needed. FWIW- for Xmas she wanted a white company nightie so we got her that and some WC slippers, plus stocking fillers of a candle and a nice scarf

Subscription for a few months of flower deliveries? Diptyque/Cire Trudon candle?

I was going to suggest a Dyptique candle but see you bought her one for Christmas .
How about a Neom diffuser pod and some essences?
I love my cashmere . Anything from socks to hats !

I would get her a candle but her house is fulllllllll of them so I don't really want to add to them. A subscription is a good idea. I wonder if there's a jigsaw subscription, she loves a jigsaw

A lovely high quality video - the wooden ones with unusual pieces or one with an art print on it? I got a lovely one with a local artist print on it for someone for xmas

Wentworth wooden jigsaws are lovely and great quality, we have a couple in the house and have bought a few as presents as well.

A Graze subscription? You can have savoury, sweet, or mix of both tasty snacks delivered weekly. It's nice to have a little treat to look forward to when you're stuck in and can't meet people or browse shops properly.

Or a lovely rose for the garden? David Austin have a huge variety, and you can order online.

Does she like reading?

I was given this gorgeous reading subscription which I love. It's a book concierge, very chic for the person who has everything.
