Board game if we like dobble!

andysdinousaur · 30/01/2021 17:17

2 children almost 7 and 4.5.
We got dobble for Christmas and they've played it every single day. It's great as both can play.
What other games do people recommend?
Uno perhaps, or junior cludo?
Thanks in advance!
We need some help to get through this lockdown on rainy days. Needs to be something we can buy on amazon!

DC2 is 6 and likes Dobble. She also likes Junior Monopoly (I like this too), Guess Who, Junior Game of Life, some Hexbug games but they are very expensive, Labyrinth (you can get a Junior version but she has been playing the standard version for a year).

We have guess who and we love that. DS is slightly speech delayed so struggles slightly with guess who.
I'll check out the others thank you!

Uno definitely
Labyrinth
Throw throw burrito

They are all quite ageless games so you don't always have to concede to winning

Frenzi is quite a similar game, I got it on amazon. Suitable for non-readers and speech delayed as well.

andysdinousaur · 30/01/2021 17:29

Frenzi looks good. I think they could both play that one!

Colour addict is a great game a bit like dobble.

Frenchfancy · 30/01/2021 17:31

Qwirkle is great

FlyingByTheSeatof · 30/01/2021 17:32

Labyrinth

Jungle speed!

Ratuki is good fun (you can usually only get the German version but it doesn’t matter too much - either learn the German words for one to five or just take those cards out)

VerbenaGirl · 30/01/2021 17:38

We love Dobble and have also enjoyed Uno and Picturika. Latest addition is Outsmarted, which is fab.

LaPoesieEstDansLaRue · 30/01/2021 18:26

Lots of the ones already mentioned, but maybe also Frustration

andysdinousaur · 30/01/2021 18:55

Thanks all. I've ordered cludo and uno for now! Got the others saved in my Amazon basket!

I really recommend Gamewright card games. Rat a tat Cat, Sleeping Queens and Too Many Monkeys were much loved when my kids were younger. Gubs is also great and the teens still like to play.

Catan junior and Labyrinth (normal version not junior) are also really good. Uno is, of course great.

We are massive fans of dobble. We have a couple of different versions if that helps?

I got dd pass the pigs for Xmas and that has the same feel but different. We are also trying to get into exploding kittens. When we went camping with dobble, we also took battleships which both DDS enjoyed.

A favourite here is junior cluedo and junior monopoly. My 11 yr old still like playing those with us (me and 7yr old).

Spacecudet · 30/01/2021 19:40

Mine love Kersplatt, it is so much fun for the whole family.

jaminthemiddle · 30/01/2021 20:19

Definitely Grabolo!

FlyingByTheSeatof · 30/01/2021 20:56

UNO is brilliant as is Yahtzee. We've whiled away many an hour playing those and good old gin rummy with a normal deck of cards
