Favourite scams?

Just listening to Scam Goddess as I've always had a fascination with scam artists. I think it's the confidence. What I like about the podcast is that it shines the light on all sorts of scams, from the small to the large (Fyre festival.)
So are there any interesting scams I can lose myself in a Reddit rabbit hole. Not so much people scamming everyday people (apart from Dirty John), more interested in the bigger ones.

also my favourite one is the Ukrainian woman who posed as a six year old woman to get adopted.

The Netflix documentary on Fyre was jaw droppingly fascinating.

I’m not sure anything compares.

@PegasusReturns yeah it's great. I don't know how a 22 year old with no business experience has the guts to rock up in New York and get people to fund them starting a new credit card company. It's wild!
