Lockdown birthday for 6 year old girl

Hi all, my little girl turns 6 next month. With all the restrictions etc it looks like it will just be me and her at home on the day. Obviously she'll have some presents to open and a cake etc, but I'm looking for ideas for anything else I can do to make the day a bit special for her.

Is it you and her or any siblings? There's four of us in our house so we had a mini-party, so I made a pass the parcel up, we did musical statues, put on some party/action songs - baby shark, Hokey Cokey, etc. Big bag of haribo/sweets for random prizes, had balloons and banners and although a bit of a waste bought cheap party paper plates and even party bags to make it different to a normal lunch. Had party food and cake. Arranged a FaceTime call with grandparents and a best friend from school. Generally tried to make it feel different to a normal day

Is a zoom party with friends an option?

We made a funfair in the garden for dd1's birthday last year. Dd2's birthday is next week and we are having an indoor beach party and bringing a paddling pool and sand box into the dining room.

Only a little thing, but fill the room with as many balloons as you can afford for when she comes down to breakfast. Even one or two will be fun.
Put Happy Birthday banners up.
Get her a big I Am 6 badge.
Something "special" for breakfast, maybe pancakes and chocolate sauce, Danish pastries etc.
Do her an at home treasure hunt.
Set up a make your own pizza bar, and ice cream parlour, for dinner. With cocktails in fancy glasses with umbrellas and swirly straws.

Great ideas thanks everyone. She's an only child. Her Dad is abroad so will face time him and his parents. Zoom party with friends sounds good. @Leeds2 she loves balloons so will definitely do that Smile

DD was 9 recently. I'm generally against balloons but filled the room with them. I set the table with some lovely fairy plates and paper cups for breakfast and made that special. She had pancakes.

For dinner, we had a party tea, and I did us all party bags. We played board games with music and we put her mattress in our room and watched a movie with popcorn etc.

We've had recent lockdown birthdays (6 and 8); we baked cupcakes and kids chose theme to decorate then did doorstep drop-offs to local friends as part of daily exercise (wrapped in napkin and put in brown paper bag, washed hands etc and stepped back from door...). Kids enjoyed giving and good incentive for a walk. Could do more party bag style too? We also had a disco at home but easier as a bit of a party as we're house of 5 and DH like gadgets so bought all the lights in the world 🙄🤣 oh and got helium balloons which wouldn't usually do. A cousin is having a big family zoom to sing happy birthday this weekend which is a nice idea too. Or if you have local friends then you could ask them to put pictures in their windows for DD to spot and do a walk trail/window wave (we did Dino pictures for a friend of DS).
