Me weather app is forecasting snow overnight so I went out to do poo patrol just incase. The lawn was covered in skinny black slugs, loads of worms and CATERPILLARS!
I love caterpillars. Last summer we found some cabbage whites and bought them home to watch them turn into butterfly's.
I've googled and googled and can not find any info on caterpillars on wet grass at night in January in the UK at all. Just sod worms and things that aren't native to the UK.
They were smooth, slimy or wet and had little caterpillar legs. I think they were a light brown but I cant be sure cause it was dark... Deffo not small dog poos.
I'm not able to run out and get a picture but as soon as I can, I will. In the meantime.. anyone know what kind of caterpillars/bug they could be?
