Any hairdressers around? Really need advice

I have really thin hair and I wear tape extensions for thickness. I had a nightmare with micro ring hair extensions a few years ago and ended up with bald patches. I found a new hairdresser who has helped me get my hair back in great condition but still looking good thanks to the tapes. I get maintenance every 6 weeks and am very careful with them.

Obviously though we've been in lockdown for a while now, I was due to have maintenance 3 weeks ago. My hairdresser has just had a baby and understandably isn't checking her insta messages. I'm a nervous wreck. I'm so self conscious about my hair and don't want to take them out myself, largely because I'm scared of damaging it in the process and secondly because I won't be able to put them back in myself so it could mean months of not having them.

I know I can't leave them in much longer without it causing problems for my hair. What do I do? Is it that easy to do myself, I just need advice, technique, products.. I'm so scared and just can't get hold of her Sad

I took mine out by carefully peeling from the top edge. The tape look not to be damaged and my hair has not come with it. Had a bit of tape/glue residue after which I dissolved with oil/conditioner over the next few days. Not ideal but my hair is ok

You can buy the remover to spray on that makes the job easier..

I'd probably give my hair a rest from them for a while, it's the perfect time to do it now we're in lockdown (if you're in the UK), it's not like we can bloody go anywhere
