What little things have you bought to get through lockdown?

I need some ideas of new things. I’m so bored. Bought a couple of new board games before Christmas which are good so I maybe need something new on that front. I did a jigsaw in lockdown #1 and was relieved to get the bloody thing finished so I’m not sure if I’m keen to try another one Grin

Please share your little hobbies or things you’re doing/watching/playing before I go insane!

It's not 'little' as such because it's expensive but got a Nintendo switch and animal crossing game which has kept me occupied! Grin

Jigsaws, yoga online each day, chocolate, good/fancy food. Baking at least once a week (and running afterwards!!!)
Books! Lots of lovely books.
How about crochet?

Nintendo ring fit and Les mills on demand. Brilliant and well worth the money.

barberousbarbara · 29/01/2021 12:41

Jigsaws and a case to keep in progress jigsaws.

Painting by numbers kits. I started off buying cheap ones on Ebay then found one of my favourite film on Etsy. I've finally finished it so, once places re-open, we're going to get it framed.

Nintendo Switch, with Animal Crossing and Ring Fit. The Ring Fit has become a good way of getting exercise during the wet days.

Got a 4 year old so it’s all deliveries of craft paper, glitter, science kits, stickers and seeds. So boring now.

MrsExpo · 29/01/2021 13:52

My friend bought a horse!! Keeps her busy and gives her an extra excuse to go out of the house twice a day to care for it.

lucysmam · 29/01/2021 13:54

Books - I didn't realise there were more of my favourite series so bought the rest of them.

& I've taught myself to crochet recently so treating myself to yarn every now and again.

Lots of books, biscuits, nice food and coffee. I really find I look forward to the simple pleasures in my day.

I’ve also done 5 jigsaws in this lockdown, am starting a new one tonight and really looking forward to it 😂

Film streaming from various platforms/cinemas.

I'm trying to get in to the habit of reading again. I use the Kindle app and generally stick to books that are 99p. I've built up a nice selection of books to choose from, and I've made a good start with my reading this month.

I have bought a tackle box to keep my watercolour paints and brushes in. It's lovely to have everything in the same place and easy to find.

I've always read and crocheted and am doing more during this. I've made three blankets and I'm working on another. I have another one to finish.

Not such a little thing but we moved house and I'm gradually getting rid of stuff.
