“Ex” constantly in dreams!!

So I’m starting to get very weirded out!!
I’m 28 married with 2 kids. For the last few months an “ex” keeps appearing in my dreams at least once a week. Very vivid dreams were we are super flirty.
I say “ex” in commas because it was a boy I had a summer fling with in school when I was about 17. We had a lot of fun and ended mutually as we went to separate unis that September. He was a very nice boy but I haven’t spoke to him since then and have never crossed paths, no mutual friends etc so very random he keeps appearing in my dreams!
I’m not one to beleive that dreams have meanings but this is starting to get very strange aha any opinions?

This probably sounds awful but I hardly ever dream about my dh but do dream about others. I know when I'm ovulating by when I have sexy dreams. Theres 3 men who they usually involve. 2 I've never been with but was close to and then theres ones with my ex, who IRL I cant start but in my dreams I enjoy him desperately wanting to be with me. Makes me feel gross in the morning. I've been with dh over 10 years so no idea why I dont see him in my dreams but see these others. I never dream about my kids either

A friend I confined in thinks it's about closure but I'm not sure

Oh my god, this is me!! It's all the time. We were together 4 years split 12 years ago. Been with partner 6 years! We're always happy in each others company. So strange

I was married for 20 years and used to have regular dreams about an ex from my teenage years. I think it was my mind’s way of saying I wasn’t happy and wished I could go back in time, not specifically about him.

I met him a while back and he’s as much of a dick as when I dumped him at 19 😂
