Lego-themed party ideas please?

DS3 is turning 7 during half term. He is Lego mad, so I thought I would try to do a little Lego-themed party for the 5 of us. We are also going to camp in the lounge & watch a film etc, so this is just for daytime. I have googled a bit, but without much success.

Ideas so far are: Lego brick pinata (make out of shoebox), pass the parcel wrapped in Lego paper, excavating Lego figures from ice. He has also requested a Lego head cake. I am working on the basis that it will be raining so things to do indoors.

The other party-goers will be myself, DH, DS1,12 & DS2,9. Thanks in advance!

I'd sort out sets of bricks so each of you have the same and try some building challenges e.g. prize for the best animal, best building, best bridge or whatever.

We had a lego challenge at work as part of a team building activity. First we had to build a recognisable monument, creations were the Eiffel Tower, Stonehenge, Big Ben, Great Wall of China. Next was to make a marble run on a base board, then swap boards and try to run your marble on someone else's board. Then make a balloon powered car and we raced them across the floor. It's difficult to describe these but google them and I'm sure you'll find photos

If you can get 5 of the polybag sets (Tesco currently have some) you could do a speed build competition.
You could do a build using just basic bricks where one person has to explain out loud what to build and everyone follow the instructions (ie " place a 2×2 blue brick on top of a green 2×4 but in the middle") and see if at the end everyone has the same model.
If you have enough wheels for 5 cars then all build a car and race them - can only win if no pieces fall off.

Do you have enough Lego to make a Lego 'fire walk'... Basically walking on loose Lego like people do on burning coals?

What about a game similar to pictionary but instead of drawing, you build the things out of lego.

Pin the head on the lego man or spot on the block.
How many blocks in the jar?

Lego and spoon races (not egg).
Toss the lego block.
Lego bingo.
Lego scavenger hunt or treasure hunt to build a man as the prize, finding a piece at each point.
Design your own lego man.

These are all games my 6yo would love and we've played indoors before with different themes.

You can print off pictures of blank Lego figures so you could each create your own one.
