Every weekend we sit down as a family and attempt to watch a film together and every weekend we spend ages trying to find something to watch and I actually feel like I’m running out of things to watch. Please share your finds with me. If it helps this is what we’ve watched lately.

Every single marvel film about a million times
Indiana Jones (all of them)
Harry Potter (see above)
Wonder Woman 2 (dreadful)
Military wives
Hunt for the wilder people (brilliant)
Le Mans 66
Senna
Knives Out
To catch a thief
Ghostbusters (old and new)
Jurassic parks (old and new)
Soul (loved)

And many others. My DC are 14 and 12 btw. TIA for your suggestions

I have watched moonrise Kingdom with DC but the bit where the two main characters (I forget their names) have their first kiss in their underwear mortified DD so much she left the room 😂 I do love that film though and the other Wes Anderson ones. They’re definitely worth more investigation.

Coco is so good. But do have tissues on hand!

WelliesWithHeels · 28/01/2021 09:44

Moana and Newsies were recent hits here! What about the How to Train Your Dragon movies?

minibike · 28/01/2021 09:44

Inside out - a Disney film but my husband and I found it sooo good! But I suppose that's because we have a son so it made it very real

Moana is great
CharlieSays13 · 28/01/2021 09:44

We've gone old school and the kids are loving it. Major successes recently have been:

The Goonies
E.T.
Labyrinth
The Neverending Story
The Railway Children
Black Beauty
Little Women (new one and Winona Ryder one)
Original Star Wars trilogy
Fly Away Home
Musical's (Calamity Jane, Sound of Music, Bugsy Malone)

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 28/01/2021 09:47

She might struggle with Ferris Bueller too then 😂 although the kissing is pretty tame as far as I remember...

Have you watched the new Jumanji films? They're quite good fun though silly

newlabelwriter · 28/01/2021 09:50

We also watched The Life & Times of David Copperfield which we all loved. Also Greatest Showman (ages ago but that’s just popped into my mind).

DH’s old copies of Time Bandits and Jabberwocky were surprisingly popular. I’m wondering if 10 is too young for the Python films.

SuperSleepyBaby · 28/01/2021 09:51

Planes,Trains and Automobiles - my 11 year old loved it!
