You're living in the 1900s. What will you do if you didn't have any technology to rely upon? I would just sit and crochet all day long I think... And clean the house from top to bottom

Read and crochet.

Read, walk, day dream, embroider, sleep. I wouldn't be cleaning.

Walks, gossip, gardening, sewing. Go to bed super early. Sing songs and rhymes to the kids.

Probably quite good for us, to live that way.

I don’t spend much time on days off near phones/internet and don’t watch television so I would read more and listen to more music. Possibly take up painting again.

Although in the 1900s, many people did have lots of kids very close in age and many people had to do manual labour and jobs, we didn't have all the great gadgets we do now ( washing machines, easy hot water, disinfectant sprays, farm machines) We are lucky in some ways now, although some things are harder than ever I think. But I imagine more people would read books and newspapers, and the newspapers would find a way to be our Netflix or streaming service to keep us entertained and possibly the radio too.

Read, write, play board games or cards, walk, bake, garden, sew, lie on a chaise longue and daydream...
