How often do you use your food processor?

Should I get one? I want one to make hummus, pulse tomatoes (salsa), pesto, shred things, blend ice/smoothie mix etc. Will I actually use it? Are they a bitch to clean? I have limited space in my kitchen so I don't want to waste space and money.

You could get one of those kenwood mini chopper things? I think mine was £20 and it's big enough to do pesto/salsa etc in. It's also the perfect size for a one-person smoothie. I have a food processor too but I use that far less, pretty much just to grate carrots because I'm too lazy to do it by hand!

Just seen the shred things. The mini chopper probably won't tick that box as there's no grater attachment
