Some of the things my nearly 3 year old comes out with...
During small world play:
L: 'The girl has eaten the cookie and the boy' me 'the girl has eaten the cookie?' L:'and the boy' me 'what is the boy doing?' L: 'the boy has done everything he wanted to do' 😱 me: 'in life' L:'yes'.
Any similar conversations?

Dd1 used to play a horrible game when she was around 3 where she would set up her farm figures and a "wild dog" would run around killing them all.

She's quite normal now!

Oh yes, that happens all the time in her play, animals eat each other, I think we watched a small bit of walking with dinosaurs and she was fascinated. Just the 'hes done everything he wanted to do' sounds like she has a better understanding of death than I thought.

When my eldest was about 3 she once said "you be the witch and I'll be the little girl. You give me a poisonous ice cream, I'll eat it then I'll die"
Me "I don't really want to play games when you die"
Response - she sighs "ok then I'll just be asleep. But really really asleep"
She turned into a fairly normal 10 year old Wink

@mynameisigglepiggle that made me laugh really hard! Grin DD, 3 hung her teddy by the feet on DH's trouser hanger the other day. I said 'Oh is teddy having fun?' totally deadpan she answered, 'No, he's being punished.'

That is funny!!

My mum used to be absolutely freaked out by me coming down the stairs with one of those 'sleepy eye dolls' and I carried her by putting my fingers in her eyes!

I have managed to grow up withought killing anyone....

DS (2) the other day - 'look mummy, I got 2 knives - mine and mummy's'.

Fuuuuuuuuck

Bramblecrumble · 28/01/2021 13:08

Haha, that's so funny everyone.

My brother was a creepy toddler. He used to laugh and talk to ‘ghosts’, which was really unnerving! He also told my auntie she had a baby in her tummy, and a couple of weeks later she found out she was pregnant after being told she was infertile.

He’s much less creepy as an adult Grin
