What sauce with this meal?

I've got some beef en croute thingys for tea tonight, with a minted peas and greens side and some mac n cheese. I've not made these (well, "reheated" as late face it I've made zilch here).

But it feels like it needs a sauce. Gravy? A jus of some sort?

Any suggestions?

What sauce with this meal?

I don’t think you need a sauce. It has a sauce inside and the Mac and cheese has a sauce.

I think gravy.

Ah but I am Northern - mac n cheese doesn't count as a sauce up here.

100% needs gravy

Why on earth would you have Mac & cheese with beef en croute? Mind boggles. I would have put Dauphinoise potatoes and made a red wine gravy.

100% needs gravy

With cheese sauce on the same plate?

Nunyabusiness · 27/01/2021 18:34

I wouldn't be pouring a sauce on it, too many different flavours. I'd do a jug of gravy and dip my fork of beef in it as I eat it

Ketchup.
