I have posted on geeky stuff, but don't think it gets much traffic. So posting here aswell, please let me know if not allowed and I'll delete the other one.
Hi,
I have googled, but not managed to reassure myself. So am asking if anyone here who knows about android phones (specifically Huawei) can save me a trip to ee. I have a paranoid thoughts so I might be over thinking this, but on the other hand phone hacking/cloning can happen, so I want to be sure.
Is it possible for a friend or relative to hack into your phone to access your contacts list? If so how? Is there any way I can check definitively (ie not monitoring battery use, find my phone location, heat etc).
I have an app called 'clone my phone', which I think I installed when I got the phone a few years ago to move data from old phone to the new, could it be now be hacked by another person with a Huawei phone to get my data? And is there anyway to check?
After sitting next to the person that I am suspicious of I got a pop up inviting me to update software, but when I went into my settings there were no updates! This along with a terrible dodgy line, increased battery use and changes in temp have made me suspicious.
Please help.. I don't want to waste the time of the phone companies right now. But I have sensitive contact info on there. (think an ex that this person could want to make contact with (which I would not give out without permission of the person in question).
Thank you for your help
