Please help settle a debate:

Are cleaners allowed to work in people's homes right now?

Don't know. But we are not having our cleaner in (and are still paying her the full £150 a month as we have done since March. .... it's starting to be a financial strain now tbh).

Yes they are. At the start of this lockdown mine sent the relevant section of the guidance round clients asking if we were happy to continue or wished to put her hon hold until restrictions had lifted. I've just tried and failed to find the messages though to get you the link

@ohidoliketobe if you can find it the link would be fab thanks Smile

Where it is necessary for you to work in other people’s homes - for example, for nannies, cleaners or tradespeople - you can do so

Yes

Cleaner here... Yes we are allowed to go into people's houses and work.
New rules say we should wear masks.

PinkRosesPurpleHearts · 27/01/2021 10:54

oh that is good info thanks. :)

TBH though our cleaner also cleans in care homes so we are not that likely to push her into coming back to us for a bit. But this is good info.

My dad is a painter and decorator, there are a number of guidelines to follow if working in people's homes too, which having had a quick check through, both him and my cleaner seem to be following!
