Tesco Club card price online shop

I have a Tesco Club card (it's a Tesco credit card and club card in one).

When I order online for click & collect, the Tesco Groceries app clearly recognises my clubcard as it tells me how many I've earnt with the order.

However, it looks like any Item I've added to my online basket is coming up at the higher standard price and not the yellow club card price.
For example, cat food is £5 or £3.50 at the Club card price. I have added it to my basket, but it is calculated at £5 with no discount at payment.

Does anybody know how I can get the discount please? I need to checkout before midnight!

Apologies, spell check has auto split Clubcard to two words!

I believe it does not show on the final bill online. It shows once your shopping is delivered. At least that is what I see once I have my shopping delivered.

You need to check out to see the deductions. Try checking out then look at the email confirming the order - you should see the discounts there.

From Tesco website

If you're shopping online, you've already got a Clubcard on your account. So all you need to do is fill your basket and we'll apply your Clubcard Prices when you check out

Mumto3thatsme · 26/01/2021 21:08

The discount is taken off at the time the shopping is picked and your card gets charged.
The savings will be on your receipt

Touloser · 26/01/2021 21:10

If you shop in store using scan as you shop (so clubcard registered to unlock device) the discounts don't show until you check out at the end. I assume once you check out or the order is finalised the discounts will register then

This happened to me- they said it was because the credit card is in my husbands name and I’m the second card holder- something changed with data protection so because the tesco online account is in my name, they couldn’t apply the Clubcard- very odd but the lady I spoke to set up an additional Clubcard number in my name, linked that to the account and went through my last 5 orders to refund me the difference between Clubcard price and normal price that I had paid. I only realised because I bought a bottle of grey goose and was charged £39 instead of the £25 offer price!

Ah that's great thanks!
I've checked last week's receipt and the Clubcard promotions were applied.

I've never really paid much attention to them before, even though they are in bright yellow, but they mount up to several pounds!

I’ve just looked and the Clubcard prices aren’t showing on the individual items in my basket but the total amount of the basket represents the Clubcard prices applied

ShalomToYouJackie · 26/01/2021 22:06

I wouldn't be so sure about it coming off when it's packed or delivered, I did a Tesco shop the other day and all the clubcard prices were showing when I added them to my basket and it came to the discounted price when I checked out

middleager · 26/01/2021 22:48

I'll double check tomorrow when I collect the shopping.
If not, will have to contact Tesco.
