Nesti Dante soap - what is your favourite one?

I can only get them on Amazon so rely on the description to decide if I think I'll like the fragrance. I think I've tried about 7 different ones and have liked them all but have firm favourites like Fig and Almond, Golden Countryside, cherries and Berries and Lago Como. The Rose and Champagne is nice too. Wasn't as keen on Enchanted Forest or Garden in Bloom but they were ok. Villages and Monasteries is one I like too. It's a masculine scented one compared to the other more flowery ones.

What's your favourite?

Portofino and Thermal Waters are my favourites, I also have the coconut one which will be opened next.

Towns and Monasteries
Cypress

these are my long term favourites but I have a limited edition one with flecks of gold and it smells divine. I will never use it as my late dad bought it for me so it's in the sock drawer. Ten years on and it hasn't lost its smell

I've got the rhubarb and hydrangea one now and it reminds me of Emporio Armani He and She. Probably more the He version but it's 20+ years since I smelt it. My brother had the He and I had the She so they have mingled in my memory. It's one of the more subtle scents. I wish I could smell them all. They should do a scratch and sniff card for customers to choose.

I've heard of Nesti Dante shop before. Is it the scent people like or are they nice quality shop that good on the skin?

FlatteredRhubardFool · 28/01/2021 17:26

It's Italian soap. Very good quality, lasts ages and smells amazing. A bar in my shower being used once a day lasts about 3 months. It doesn't go mushy, lathers beautifully and isn't drying. I buy from Amazon but I know some posters have says they can get them in TK maxx but they didn't have them when I looked last year.

Yeah I rarely see them in TK Maxx.

Holland and Barrett used to have a limited supply but I haven't seen it there in ages.

I mostly get them from Amazon and my most recent addition is Sicilia. You might like that one OP if you like slightly masculine scents, it has a fresh seaside kind of smell.

I'll give it a go. I've just received the strawberry and safe one but I'm not sure about the scent. They usually grow on me though even if I'm not sure to start with. It seems like a small fortune to pay for soap but it costs far less than shower gel and hand wash used to cost. I divide the big bars into two or three and they last weeks (each piece that is) whereas a bottle of hand wash used to last a week or two and with 4 sinks that's a lot of money along with shower gel for 4 people showering each day too. Some things are worth paying for and this soap is one of them.
