Childcare Vouchers - Ideas?

Hopefully I'm not the only one who has quite a bit saved in child care vouchers.

Last year, accumulated several months worth before I stupidly realised and now DD2(9) probably won't be going back to after school club as I'm mostly working from home, and next year she will be in Y6.

What are other people doing with theirs?

I asked the childcare voucher company for a refund and they returned it in full (less tax), through payroll. Their website said they wouldn't but they did.

You can get a refund. It would need to be via your employer and you will need to pay tax etc on the refund. There is an admin fee so your employer may not be keen.

Otherwise - holiday clubs?

Who is your provider? I sorted a refund out for a employee via Edenred.

Back in April I reduced my payments to £10 a month just to stay in the scheme but I've still got quite a bit saved up. I think I'll use mine for a local holiday club that DD enjoys. Even if DH continues working from home permanently, she enjoys it and they take kids up to age 12.

@daisybrown37 - I have Caboodle, but DH uses Edenred, so that's brilliant you managed to get a refund from them for an employee.

Holiday club is a good back up plan as can't leave on her own yet, looking far far in advance.
