READ THIS: Important! Covid vaccination scam

DH received an email this afternoon purportedly from the NHS inviting him for a covid jab. It was pretty convincing although it said he was selected due to genetics and medical history which didn’t make sense.

Anyway if you accept the invitation it asks for your credit card details for charges that relate to the jab. I suppose some people may think there will be a charge similar to a prescription charge and may fall for it.

It is a scam. It was only on receiving this that we googled to see that apparently texts and phone calls were being made in a similar vein. Nothing about emails though so this may be a new ploy and it does look like an authentic NHS email, although the NHS WOULDN’T email.

Please be aware and pass this on.

I had the same. Didn't have the usual typos and grammatical errors, very convincing. Looking at the email address it was sent from was the biggest giveaway!

There a lot of arseholes out there that should be ashamed of taking advantage of the vulnerable. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't had this, but good to be able to warn elderly parents. I'm sure there will be some vulnerable people who will fall for it.
