As you may know if you're Welsh - today is St Dwynwen's Day (kind of Welsh St Valentine's) and although I'm not Welsh, my DH of 18 years is, so we've been celebrating this date since we met and it's always a special day. Cynics might say it's because it's cheaper to buy flowers and chocolates in January than February but that's never mattered to me.
Anyway, I know we're in lockdown but he has as much access to the car and the internet as I do, so this morning when I gave him a card and some chocolates and he gave me.....absolutely nothing at all, I was disappointed.
I asked him and he said he hadn't been out and had left it too late to order anything. This is all despite me saying last week when we were planning meals that I'd buy us an M&S meal for tonight because it was St Dwynwen's Day so it's not like he could have forgotten!
Now, to put the tin hat on it, after the special dinner he's gone on a Zoom call for his hobby so I'm on my own, necking the rest of the champagne and feeling hacked off!
