With all the snow and ice on the roads I didn't want to risk driving to the supermarket so decided to walk to the local shops. I went the long way round, through the park and it was lovely! Blue skies, sunshine and birds singing. But best of all, i stood on all the frozen puddles and cracked the ice 😀

I’m working on the couch with hot water bottle (time of the month!), my Dd is homeschooling on the floor with the cat cuddled up besides her and we have a nice lovely playlist on. The sun is shining through the window. It’s been a nice steady morning and the way I’m feeling with cramps and nausea I’m glad I don’t have to sit in work!

I just got the £3.50 increase taken off my Virgin Media bill, without talking to anyone. However when I pressed # to go back to try to get the overall bill reduced to that of a new customer, I got cut off and it's been engaged ever since. The whole of Virgin Media customer services - enaged Hmm

Yep. That £3.50 pleased me greatly Grin

BarbaraofSeville · 25/01/2021 14:31

Oh, I need to try that. I was pleased to get a deal a few months ago to stay with them at the end of the contract, but I was most displeased that they're now apparently increasing the bill by about 12% per month.

If I can get it removed without having to talk to anyone, that will be very pleasing.

iklboo · 25/01/2021 14:45

We treated ourselves to some nice food from M&S.

Stormwhale · 25/01/2021 14:47

I went food shopping on my own, grabbed a brownie from the bakery section and ate it in peace in the car afterwards. I didnt have to share it and noone was talking at me. Flipping bliss.

Vicky1y · 25/01/2021 14:47

Took my baby out in the snow today for the first time, he was very curious and enjoyed it.

FourTeaFallOut · 25/01/2021 14:49

It's sunny here, only 6c but enough heat in the sun to make it pleasant when we went for a walk.

badlydrawnbear · 25/01/2021 15:28

The snow was beautiful in the sun.
Yesterday I discovered gingerbread flavoured chocolate digestives.
My fluffy dressing gown.

@TodgerStrunk

Ah, I see.

Comprehension not my strong point today Blush

Ratbagratty · 25/01/2021 16:13

Dc5 had done her school work with only 10min of moaning 😂, DC3 happily joined in with days school work and didn't fuss! The cat has started to put weight on his back legs and walk around the room after he got hit by a car 2 weeks ago. Managed to get a few jobs done around the house. So good day here!

tofuschnitzel · 25/01/2021 16:15

I saw some Long Tailed Tits and a Great Tit at the bird feeders in my snowy garden today. I love watching the birds, it cheers me right up to see them visiting the garden!

wlv12 · 25/01/2021 16:16

My mum died a month ago today.
A friend remembered and sent flowers.
I was really touched ,

Mysa74 · 25/01/2021 16:19

I had half an hour to myself this afternoon before preschool pickup and decided to treat myself to a bath and use up some of the odd sounding bath cubes that my DB and SIL posted to me for Christmas. When I opened the box it had a couple of sachets of coconut bath foam on top and 3 bars of my favourite chocolate underneath. I now know why they said to keep it out of reach and not to leave the box near the radiator Grin

edwinbear · 25/01/2021 16:20

I had an Aero chocolate mousse which was delicious and only 93 calories. I may have another as a treat. It's the small things these days isn't it!

Mysa74 · 25/01/2021 16:24

Sorry to hear about your mum wlv12, I lost my dad in March Flowers

Barmbraic · 25/01/2021 18:47

Sorry for your loss, wlv12.

Dc were getting antsy after home school today and I refused to let them put on screens. About 10 mins later I found them on the floor howling laughing at each other, having raided the dress up box and each other's wardrobes to wear the craziest outfits they could think of Smile

ErrolTheDragon · 25/01/2021 18:52

Yellow crocuses emerging from the snow in brilliant sunshine.Smile

everydaysablessing · 25/01/2021 18:52

Dialled off a work call as my 3 year old wanted to play in the snow. Priorities!

GreenSlide · 25/01/2021 18:57

My 3 yo loves to have a bath with me, which is fun, but just now I had a gorgeous hot bubble bath on my own and it felt like a spa day.

TitInATrance · 25/01/2021 19:00

Chocolate. Volunteering in a role that got me out of the house.
