if you want a vintage film, The Nun's Story with Audrey Hepburn and Peggy Ashcroft is on IPlayer now - watched that the other afternoon - amazing acting by all actors/actresses, Hepburn is brilliant and Ben Hur pipped it to the Oscars!

Factor in memories of me attending a convent (as a non RC) and a bit chilling but fascinating!

Yes I watched 'The Nun's Story' on Saturday afternoon recently on TV, it was fab. Particularly shocking scenes in the mental institution! I didn't realise it was Audrey Hepburn and Edith Evans until the credits rolled!

I watched The Resistance on Amazon Prime last week. A mix of dramatisation and documentary plus archive newsreels following the separate true stories of young Jewish people hiding from the Nazis in ww2 Berlin. The dramatised scenes are well done and the flash forwards to real life interviews with each of them in later life is poignant. In German with subtitles.
