My DS and I went sledding today. It was awesome. I want to hear about other people's snow days rather than all the rubbish at the moment

Ooh I also gave my kitten his first taste of snow (on a harness as I am too protective)

My son was at his Dad's today but I still spent most of the day out in the snow. I built a snowman and then went for a lovely walk with the dogs. It has been really busy in our best walking spot recently but today there was just us. It's up a steep hill, which most cars can't cope with but luckily mine can. There was lots of low cloud when we started our walk but beautiful sunshine by the time we had finished.

Last week we built a life size snowman sitting on a park bench. Much easier than a freestanding one. Lots of people stopped for selfies, he wasn’t good at social distancing.

It was amazing here, real proper snow in big flakes that settled

10 month DD had never seen snow and loved it, trying to eat it and really delighted at what she was seeing. Magical.

Could also hear all the kids in the area outside playing, was a really lovely day

I bet the dogs loved it, my friend sent me a video of his dog in the snow and he looked like he was having the best day

Yes too hearing kids playing and laughter! Was lovely. All socially distanced but hearing normal noise was great

We didn’t get massive amount of snow in London but we went out and went for a walk and had a really good day, it’s the first time we’ve actually just gone out for a walk in lock down (I’ve not bothered to go out for just for walks) it made was really nice though with the snow, just wish it snowed more often! Looked at the weather forecast hoping for more but looks like that it was just one day for us

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/01/2021 18:33

Dressed my ten week old up all snug in a snow suit he’ll surely wear once, went in the garden and took pictures, then we came back in and watched a film in bed 🤣 he looked so unimpressed with the snow, but very cute nonetheless

I think I could cope better with lockdown if it snowed every day

I think I enjoyed it more than my kids tbh 🤣

I couldn't, it was so cold and miserable and the places we would normally go for a walk were jam packed with people out playing in the snow if the photos online were anything to go by.

I get not everyone likes the snow, but snow makes me happy, I managed to socially distance near me but guess it isnt the same everywhere

I fell off the sledge and rolled down the hill laughing.

Went for a totally gorgeous trail run at dusk. Came back warmer than after yesterday's.

@missymoomoomoomoomoo

That reminds me decades ago of our first cat. For some reason my dad had gone out in the back garden (perhaps he wanted is to be the first footsteps!) and the cat jumped from footprint to footprint!
