Asda ( George) Points

I have just ordered some slippers - could have collected them tomorrow but if I wait until Tuesday I get George points. I don’t know very much at all about this. How do you cash them in?

Didn't know they did points

Must be a new scheme as I've never seen it before

I’ve always declined to join as I don’t know what it’s for because it’s a bit vague. It just says:
‘Use your points to unlock discounts and more’

I just googled & there is a little more info here

George Rewards points don't have a value to them, which you cash in unlike Tesco Clubcard points (to spend in store or treble up with a reward partners for days out or meals etc). It is more of a loyalty gimmick which is only useful to regular shoppers or big spenders IMO. I have built up points by using click and collect instead of delivery (which I prefer anyway for my circumstances), delaying the collection date on click and collect etc. I have then "spent", say 250 points, on a promotion/deal like 250 points for 10% off ladies knitwear. On a regular basis there is a free competition, like 100 points to enter with a chance to win a £100 George giftware. Something for nothing but not life changing lol.
@EternalOptimist7 hope your slippers are comfy. I love George.com and glad I can still get stuff what with lockdown, although the last year is probably the least I have ever bought/spent.
