My mum is 70 next month and my sister and I are at a total loss for ideas. She doesn’t want anything which doesn’t help. The only thing she has mentioned is a narrow boat break with the grandchildren when we can - which may not be this year now.
At Christmas we made a voucher for a “special meal out” at her favourite restaurant for after this lockdown hell and so don’t want to do another “when the pandemic is over” gift.
Any ideas? She doesn’t really drink; has plenty of perfume and beauty products; she has favourite jewellery from over the years and doesn’t really want more; she doesn’t have any hobbies as such. She can tolerate a candle at best but isn’t a candles or diffusers person. Socialising is her main thing and the lockdowns have been so hard for her so we are compiling a video montage of messages from friends far and wide.
