Zoom whole class parties - present etiquette

Would love to hear views. My year 2 is attending more whole class parties in zoom than would be otherwise (where parties start to slim down a bit).

For close friends we are sending an e-voucher to minimise contact but it seems excessive to do it for everyone for a 45 minutes zoom call. Am I being tight?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I wouldn't send a present unless it's a really close friend.

Zoom calls for 2yo sounds mad? Do they even know who's on the screen?

Peppermintgreen · 24/01/2021 11:25

I would only send a voucher for close friends :) Otherwise just attend and enjoy!

Year 2 is what op said.
Really I wouldn't send a present.

We did a Zoom party with a magician and I was very surprised that lots of the class dropped off presents, wasn't expecting anything! I then felt bad for not doing party bags...

Oh I completely misread the age. Sorry! Less mad but I still wouldn't send a present unless we were close.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like we should proceed as we have been.

I couldn't not get a present for a child, even if it was only something small. Very stingy, in my view.
