Hello,

I'm looking to buy a candle for a gift and I usually buy Yankee but wondered if there was any others that people would recommend.

Thank you

Have you considered a warmer from scentsy?

StepOutOfLine · 23/01/2021 20:28

There was a thread just the other day with lots I'd not heard of..let me see if I can find it.

kittlesticks · 23/01/2021 20:28

There you go. I love a Yankee myself as the smell lasts and lasts. DD got some from Skye candle company at Christmas and they are lovely.

MiddleClassMother · 23/01/2021 20:33

I have tried a few others but always go back to Yankee, it's a classic.

Nohomemadecandles · 23/01/2021 20:38

DW are usually good. NEOM too

Scentsy is an MLM so I wouldn't ever buy from them. Ridiculous prices not withstanding, they're part of the cult! Grin

Ilovewillow · 23/01/2021 20:39

Neom are gorgeous. St Eval are also lovely. True Grace

DameCelia · 23/01/2021 20:40

Irusu, expensive but amazing smells and they last for ages.

Coolcatsandkittens · 23/01/2021 20:44

WoodWick, particularly the ellipse ones that crackle like a fire as they burn. I had Black Onyx bought for me and it’s a beautiful scent, I can often still smell it in the morning after we’ve had it burning the night before.

StepOutOfLine · 23/01/2021 20:52

Just checking my emails and Isle of Skye have 25% off
I'm on that other thread talking about my dreadful experience with St Eval. Black snot from soot pouring out of dd's nose.

Ace1185 · 23/01/2021 20:56

Skye Candle Company are amazing

PeppermintSoda · 23/01/2021 20:59

I like Shearer, Bolsius, Prices, woodwick

wlv12 · 23/01/2021 21:02

Neom and today I got a candle gifted from kindred fires which is lovely but I think that’s more decorative rather than especially scented.

BangingOn · 23/01/2021 21:04

St Eval and Rebecca Tracey are my favourites.

dementedma · 23/01/2021 21:10

Thrilled to see Isle of Skye candles being recommended. Have been extolling their virtues for years. DDs ask for them for every birthday and Christmas. Wooden Heart is lovely.

doadeer · 23/01/2021 21:17

Lumos apothecary are a lovely independent

MissBattleaxe · 23/01/2021 21:20

Parks candles are excellent. I love the gingerbread one and there's a Rose Oud one called Dark Rose or Rose Noir.

WingBingo · 23/01/2021 21:24

Neom are fantastic. I love the relaxing one. They are a proper treat, most quality candles are.

B1rdinthebush · 23/01/2021 21:37

Golden Hour Co (you can find them on Instagram) are amazing. I also love This Works (TK Maxx often have them for about £14/15).

JosephineCollins · 27/01/2021 19:52

a friend of mine is selling them handmade on etsy www.etsy.com/uk/listing/895453790/best-seller-1993-vetiver-cedarwood?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=1993+candle&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&organic_search_click=1&pro=1&frs=1 a luxury but really lovely vetiver scent candle. Similar to Acqua di parma but at much cheaper
