Last night i invented a cocktail in my dream, anyone willing to try it?

In my dream I was catering for some major diplomatic event so I made loads of these and I woke up with the recipe still stuck in my head. I don’t really drink cocktails (as will become obvious) and we have no vodka in the house so I can’t make it myself but I am open to substitute suggestions for the alcohol bit. Anyway here goes:

Vodka 1 shot (or double)
Miscellaneous tonic (so far, so normal, the next bit is where it gets a bit odd)
1 spoonful of grated carrot (this is the part where DH started rolling his eyes this morning)
A dash of Worcestershire sauce
Throw in a couple of ice cubes and voila!

I woke up convinced I had invented something amazing. All the visiting dignitaries at the event were lapping it up and coming back for more! It does kind of sound like the sort of wanky cocktail recipe they have in the Guardian.

So any willing —guinea pigs— volunteers out there happy to try it? I also need a name for this invention!

You could call it a 'Bugs Bunny'

I'm not really a vodka drinker. I'd try it with Southern Comfort perhaps.

... and perhaps a blob of mayo!

I think the Worcestershire sauce and Mayo would make it good for dunking bread in, like those olive oil and balsamic vinegar things.

Whatever about how it’ll taste, it’s going to look like vomit with that carrot floating around.

Yeah DH wasn’t convinced by the grated carrot but I think it’s a healthy addition. If I twirl the carrot it might look better and less like sick.

Could be a selling point - if you have one too many and throw up, you can pretend you've just spilled your drink.

I will join you for your dream cocktail but I'd prefer carrot purée or juice, I worry I may choke on the grated carrot in my enthusiasm!

We don't have any in. I don't think is classed as an essential journey.
I would happily take a photo of the cocktail with a Lulu Guiness Umbrella

So it's like a Bloody Mary, but with carrots instead of tomatoes. A Bloody Mess maybe?

I really want to make it but I have no vodka or tonic in the house. So Worcestershire sauce and grated carrot will have to do.

I am so sorry, I fell to sleep when my DP took my children up to bed. I can try it next week though.

I love the arrangement of the carrots, looks much better than I was thinking. I'm sure it'll catch on and be cocktail of the year.

Did you drink it all? Would you have it again?

I could only have a few sips because a) it was disgusting and b) I was laughing too much. The carrot did actually work, I might add it to gin and tonics.

Substitute orange peel for carrot and a dash of cold, strong coffee for the Worcestershire sauce.
