Son dry over night at 2.5?

Is this too soon or just a fluke?

He potty trained at 2 years 3 months and took to it great. Only two accidents in the first couple of days and he can hold his bladder so well (much better than I can!)

He wears pull ups at night and uses the toilet before bed and first thing in the morning but his pull up was always pretty wet.

Today is the 7th day in a row he’s been dry all night. He wakes about 6am, takes off his pull up and uses the potty in his room. His pull ups are completely dry.

He dislikes the pull ups but it seems to soon to be trying him without? I don’t want endless rounds of laundry but if he continues to stay dry, would you try him without? He was 2.5 on 13th January.

Thanks in advance.

My son was dry at that age too. Only ever had one accident and it was when he was really very poorly.

My DD was the same. Once she was potty trained (it took a week), she started waking up in the night to let me know she had to pee, but no accidents, she wouldn't do it in her nappy; even though she continued to use nappies for the night for a month after being trained more or less. After a couple of weeks or so she started sleeping through the night and going to the potty once she woke up in the morning.
I can only remember one accident at night since she was potty trained.
She also have a much stronger bladder than I do!!

My DS was dry before his second birthday. He never once had an accident in his bed or during the day. His sisters were another story. At least one DC was easy.

Same thing happened with my DD just before she turned 2, at the same time that she was dry in the day. You can't "night train" toddlers this age, it's just part of their development. Happens earlier for some than for others.

Congrats!!

My youngest was dry at night by 2.5yrs, my middle was 4.5yrs. I did the same things with them all so a lovely surprise

My eldest was dry at night around that age. He only ever wet the bed once after we stopped pull-ups. Day times were another story though!
