Can anyone remember this thread - mum called son dumb as a rock

Hullo there was a thread recently where a SAHM said her young son, 8 I think,. was really struggling at school and she stated regret at giving up her career to be a SAHM as he was thick. (she got some harsh responses but I think she was just looking for help and support).

Anyway, there were some really helpful posts about where to get support and assessments for a kid who is struggling,. I thought I had kept these posts but I bloody haven't. I've looked back through AIBU, chat and parenting posts but I cant' find the thread. I really need help with my son too.

I don't suppose anyone can remember the thread title, name of the OP or what topic it came under can they?

I'd really be grateful for any help tracking this down - I've looked through my 'I'm on' posts but they dont' go back far enough.

Did you post on it? You can try advanced search with your username, a rough date span and then if it returns too many results, try a keyword you think you might have written in the post.

It is sometimes easier to use google than the MN search.

I searched "mumsnet dumb rock" and it came up.

That's a handy tip too! I did try dumb as a rock in the mumsnet search but it didn't help. I'll google too next time. Thanks for trying that for me, that's reallly kind of you

Also if you look at threads you’re watching this includes all the threads you’ve posted on but goes back much further.
